Default ISS Crew Conducts Ultrasound Experiment

Expedition 10 Conducts ADUM Experiment

Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov
conducted a session with the Advanced Diagnostic Ultrasound in Microgravity
(ADUM) experiment on Thursday. This investigation seeks to better understand
the crew's ability to gather and transmit data to the ground. ADUM may also
lead to benefits on Earth, allowing for much quicker injury diagnosis for
patients at remote locations by doctors based at hospitals.

Chiao and Sharipov also took part in crew medical officer training. The
routine 30-minute session is designed to refresh the crew's medical
knowledge. They also performed routine ISS maintenance and exercised.
