Default Reasons Beagle 2 Was Lost

The Top 8 Reasons Beagle 2 Was Lost

8 It was shot down by the Red Baron.

7 A Martian girl exploring with her father took one look and screamed,
"Daddy! It's a *beagle*! Can we keep it? Canwecanwecanwecanwe?"

6 It got lost chasing a passing comet.

5 The French navigational computer went on strike.

4 Like all beagles, it's not lost, it's just distracted by something.

3 Martian "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" happened to be shooting where
it landed, promptly replacing those gaudy, uncoordinated solar panels with
tasteful but non-functional accessories.

2 No matter how much gas you get from haggis, Stilton and Guinness, it's
just not enough to power a vehicle all the way to Mars.

and the Number 1 Reason Beagle 2 Was Lost...

1 It was eaten by giant space-going Galapagos turtles.
