Default my peek into higher dimension(s)

On Sept. 5, 1991, while I was quite manic, I performed a
brief sun stare on Tower Beach in Vancouver. During
the sun stare there was a tunneling beyond the sun.
The tunneling was similar to what you see when you
place two mirrors facing one another and peek inside.
This I speculate was a peek by me into higher dimension(s).
The entire incident is described on
http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/sunstare.html if you would
like more detail.

Doing this can result in permanent eye damage as the blind Belgian
experimenter and expert on persistence of vision and bubbles found out
the hard way. Do not attempt to reproduce this idiotic experiment!

It is unclear the extent to which his staring at the sun fixedly for 25s
resulted in his eyesight failing in later life but *he* certainly
believed that it was a factor. Newton also damaged his eyes.

Yes, I don't recommend that anyone repeat it, and I don't
plan to. But the facts that the sun stare was brief
and that I had discarded my very strong near-sighted
glasses such that the focus of the sun's light did
not form on my retina meant that I didn't suffer any
lasting eye damage.

Mike Duffy on alt.magick has argued that I
experienced an optical illusion. Have a look
at his post and see if you agree with his
physics argument. I followed up on his
post and crossposted that followup to
sci.optics and sci.med.vision but perhaps
should have added sci.physics as well.

Interesting name, considering Niven's "plateau eyes".
