"Time SPEEDS UP for the traveler" is validly deducible from Einstein's 1905 postulates. Special relativity predicts that the traveler will see his (traveling) clocks running FASTER than stationary clocks, which also means that the traveler sees himself aging FASTER than stationary people.

The antithesis, "Time SLOWS DOWN for the traveler", is non sequitur. Einstein used to teach it but it doesn't follow from his 1905 postulates.

In Einstein's schizophrenic world minds oscillate between the idiocy validly deducible from Einstein's 1905 postulates, "Time SPEEDS UP for the traveler", and the antithetical idiocy which is non sequitur, "Time SLOWS DOWN for the traveler".

The non sequitur, "Time SLOWS DOWN for the traveler", is much more detrimental for human rationality - for that reason Einsteinians teach it enthusiastically.

The correct deduction from Einstein's 1905 postulates, "Time SPEEDS UP for the traveler", stays implicit in Einstein's schizophrenic world. The above two quotations where it is explicitly stated are rare exceptions.

According to special relativity, any inertial observer sees himself aging FASTER than observers in other inertial reference frames. This is reductio ad absurdum - Einstein should have concluded that one of his 1905 postulates is false. Instead, in 1918 he informed the gullible world that, as the traveling clock (twin) turns around and experiences acceleration, a HOMOGENEOUS gravitational field emerges. This homogeneous gravitational field somehow affects the distant stay-at-home clock and makes it run very fast (the stay-at-home twin suddenly gets very old) during the turning-around period:

Einstein's 1918 idiocy was a crucial fudge factor that saved the "theory". Without recourse to "enough strangeness" - the homogeneous gravitational field emerging and acting during the short turning-around period - Einstein's relativity predicts that either twin will find his brother younger when they reunite after the trip.

Einsteinians do teach Einstein's 1918 idiocy but never mention the "homogeneous gravitational field" - it is too idiotic, even by the standards of Einstein cult:
