Default ASTRO: M51 from the ranch this weekend

I took the AP180EDT f/9 with me to the ranch over the weekend and used the
PL3200 with it.

I got this shot of M51 just about 3 h 15 minutes total

About half of the time was unfiltered luminance and there was a half hour
each of RGB binned 2x2

I had not used the AP180 APO in some time so it was nice to use it again

It's a great scope and you have a nice set of images.. This one is real
sharp.

Outstanding image, Richard! (just like the AP180EDT)
Clear skies,

Great shot, very sharp and good colour.
I guess the AP180 makes for a nice travel scope ;-)

If you decide not to use it for a while I'm sure I can find a use for
that 180mm of aperture.

Nice series!

Third major snow storm of the month has me still shut down. Power was
out much of the day but it is back now -- don't know for how long. It
stayed on during the blizzard of wet snow that brought down a lot of my
trees but has been going on and off now that the wind is calm. Guess
some trees are giving up under the snow load.

Rick

Very nice

A quick general comment to all, I'm still here but generally lurking as I
haven't actually done any astronomy - inc my solar work since moving into
the new house last July. Have to do something about the patio before I can
do that, currently its wood and not screwed down properly, so in any wind
its like a springboard - with consequent effects on imaging!

Love some of the imaging done here lately!

All the best

Kev
