Bosh, although this is beautifully and accurately drawn, my "ZonDeke"
strip would be far more entertaining- where is the scene of Ham
sacrificing his life to throw that monkey wrench into the N-1's first
stage turbopumps?
Where are the Aerobee Mice, gnawing at the Zond's guidance computer
wiring, as they fight a life or death struggle with "COMMERA- The
Communist Lunar Turtle" and its "Fruit Fly Minions From Red Hell"?
Where is the the triumphal scene where Deke Slayton is revealed not to
be a traitor after all, but the most daring spy that ever served the
Land of Liberty?
And how come the touching scene was missed where the ghosts of Grissom,
White, and Chafee appear to Guzz Glung Aldstrong, and comfort the tiny
radiation-proof homunculus that was bred from the astronaut's semen
samples in his hour of need...as he futilely awaits the coming of Apollo
27...and his rescue from the Moon, next to the wreckage of Surveyor II?
Where's that stuff? That was the very meat and potatoes of the true
story of our Lunar Odyssey! :-)
