I guess they will show live feed from the control room as they did when

the
Americans put the little rover on their a few years back.

IIRC, that made watching paint dry look exciting ;-) They had problems
with the airbags deflating, so very little actually happened.
The only unmanned missions I found exciting in real time were Giotto at
Halley and Surveyor 1 (showing my age)

Ah yes Giotto, with the BBC micro showing the impacts on the nose of the
craft if I remember correctly?

Go to Sky News (CH 501) and press the red button on your Sky remote. You
will then get to the Sky News Active option. You will see a choice of Live
screen News Items. They've made them better now as each one can be selected
full screen. Sky often put live launches, Eclipses etc on of these Active
Channels (uninterupted). I guess they will show the Beagle 2 landing live as
well.

Those of you with a digital satellite receiver and Astra could do
worse than check out "spacenight" on BR Alpha. (Bayern Rundisfunct?
Alpha) A German language TV programme.
Try spacenight in your browsers for more details.
BR Alpha have space programmes every night. Txt page 398(on BR
Alpha)for more details. Just thought I'd pass on the info. I believe
they sell videos of the programmes broadcast.

As of the first of December, Nasa TV will be reduced to a one hour slot on
Weekdays only.

The showing will take place from 16:00-17:00.

I take it that it wasn't as popular as they hoped.

Well as we've got just to astronauts on the ISS who do little more than keep
it ticking over is it surprising?
