Please remember Oriel is a CONFIRMED bot - thank you!
And here again in the last few days we have Oriel talking AT somebody. Amazingly some people are still being suckered in to replying!
Oriel is just a bot - with just a tiny amount of human intervention. Indeed the university dept involved has, I understand, open admitted this quite recently. Please don't play "his" or their game any longer! |

Please don't play "his" or their game any longer! I have seen evidence of ~8 hour downtimes, during which the perpetrator is presumably sleeping. Perhaps the 'bot component scans and composes posts 24/7/365 but must await the human component's instructions before any posts are sent. ("I am Oriole and I approved this message.") It would be unethical (and ideally illegal) for an organization to knowingly allow such activity. I place it in the same general category as wardialing, junk fax, flyers attached to mailboxes and robocalls that leave voice mails. |

The moronic troll badastrobuster has chosen to ignore this. Please don't play badastrobuster's game any longer! **** off and die, evil troll badastrobuster, you've nothing of any importance to say anyway. -- Lord Androcles, Zeroth Earl of Medway |

Please don't play "his" or their game any longer! Stop sufferuing with Google Groups. Live happy! Get thee a usenet news account & news clent* that can ignore oriel's posts & all replies to oriel. *[Dialog is such a news client. Just flag oriel as "ignore" and, set the view not to show "ignored". Poof, -- no more oriel - and responses to him from others are automatically ignored. "legit" posts from everyone, but oriel, will still appear. Dialog also has a "keyword" filter that's easy to use. I'm going to add 'bot' to it now. ;-) 40tude Dialog is a windows app. It's text only. Support is user to user on news.software.readers, or (in german) de.comm.software.40tude-dialog. Dialog is both a news and email client - but it is not a good mail client; so I only suggest it be used for usenet - where its flexibility and power still exceeds most, if not all, the more modern news clients. Dialog is free, and there are free usenet news servers if you don't want/need a paid service.] -- Email address is a Spam trap. |
