Just imagine...for a moment... if all those bailed-out banks pay off the
money they were given, like Goldman Sachs said they were going to do
today, and the taxpayers end up with zero payment responsibility on their
loans to them, while the stock market comes right back to life.
They'll cut his face into Mount Rushmore for that one, and deservedly so.
The guy's got luck, and when it comes right down to it...luck counts for a
lot indeed.

By the way I just remembered today is the anniversary of Lincoln's
assassination.

"OBama follows the Marvel very closely. He's got this alter ego, the Obama
before he gets to the White House, that so many people can relate to,
especially if you were raised by a single parent. And then he puts on his
uniform - the presidency - and becomes a superhero. He assumes his
superpowers"--Joe Quesada, Marvel Comics editor

...Hey, glad to be of service, although under different circumcisions
that would have been a DISservice as I'd have been quoting a troll
you'd killfiled.

...On a side note, before I make a final judgment, got any suggestions
on where you came across her low melting point?

I doubt it was a single post that did it. Post-Columbia, when I adopted
my hair-trigger killfile policy (which has served me well since then; my
current keyhole viewpoint on s.s.* actually has a decent S/N ratio), it
didn't take much. Still doesn't. Life's too short. I read Usenet to be
informed and entertained, and not to be annoyed. If you're neither
informative nor entertaining, you'd better not be annoying. And even if
you're mildly informative and entertaining, you'd better not be *too*
annoying. (Looks down into the killfile, in the general direction of a
certain Irishman.) And I definitely don't take it personally when others
apply those standards to me. If your life's too short to put up with the
annoyance of reading my posts, then by all means don't. You'll be a
happier person.

...Much less having any interest in space history.

(Unless we sent up some species of avian on one of the biology
missions to see how well the fly in zero-G that I'm not aware of.)

I heard somewhere they can't do this because birds can't swallow in zero g

Do you ever listen to that Professor on South West Virginia public radio, he
pronounes it Wah of Nahthan Aggression
He can't pronounce his r's and sounds just like Elmer Fudd

...I dunno, Jorge. I just listened to the entirety of JFK's final
speech, it sure sounds to me like he called the place "Afrikerr".

They also "pahk" the "cah". I suspect they exported all their "Rs" to
"Afrikerr" and "Cuber".
