[fitsbits] FITS Conventions reminder

This is a brief reminder about the FITS conventions that are currently
being considered for the Registry of FITS Conventions (see
http://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/fits_registry.html)


* The public comment period on the FITS "INHERIT" keyword convention
ends this week.

* The public comment period on the Hierarchical Grouping convention
remains open for about 2 more weeks.

* The next convention scheduled for discussion is the "Multi-beam FITS"
(MBFITS) format for data taken with mm and sub-mm single-dish
telescopes. Further information about this convention will be posted at
the above web site at the start of the public comment period next week.
