What can be more CRAZY than to give banks free money? What can be more
CRAZY to buy insurance that does not pay its claims?? What can be more
CRAZY than to give car makers money if they stream line and lay off
1000s of their workers???? What can be more CRAZY than HUD building
homes for poor families,and knowing poor families are having their homes
taken away and sit empty????? What can be more CRAZY to think America
is a democracy ?????? What can be more CRAZY to think USA is running
on a capitalistic system of free trade and small business
enterprise?????? What is still more CRAZY that this recession is not
called the beginning of the greatest "depression" the world has ever
been in. ???????? TreBert PS All this comes out of the complete
collapse of confidence the people have in their politicians

Florida the most corrupt state?? Yeah, I'll buy that considering it's
part in electing W, Jeb Bush and all.

But getting back to what can be more Crazy. Christ on the other hand
said he would take the insurance companies to task and I have already
received over 3K back from State Farm on my home owners insurance.
Now that they are bailing out of the state I wonder if this is a good
thing or not. I'll let you know when I renew in 2010.

Car makers..... Let the only major manufacturing sector in the country
fail and you greatly deminish or destroy our ability to go to war.
You think they are keeping them alive to build cars?

Crazy than HUD...... are you against the poor from affording to own
their own homes? Give them a decent mortgage that makes it as
affordable to own as it is to rent and you have helped promote the
American dream. When I re-financed my property in VT last year in
order buy more property, I went with Lending Tree. The phone was off
the hook. First offer out of every brokers mouth was the trash
mortgages that have ruined the housing industry. I had to buy down my
rate to get a reasonabily fixed rate mortgage. Don't blame the poor
for getting themselves into this mess, they were not the experts in
this field. They were conned by the greedy bankers.. You know this and
I know this, first hand.

Crazy than America being a democracy..... We are! How else do you
remove an American Ceasar from his perch without using force. Our
democracy is fine and working well.

Crazy about being a capitalist, free trade system....... Pure
capitalism does not work and it IS what has gotten us into our current
finacnial debacle. The new model for America is a blend of capitalist
and socialist programs that will provide a lasting stability for
future generations. Pure capitalism only benefits the rich.....

Crazy that this recession is not called the beginning of a great
depression......... If Obama's plan does not work it will be just
that. You can get behind him and support him or sing along with the
fat man who does absolutely nothing for Republican Party or country
and only enhances his radio ratings. Or is everyone blind to that
fact? Obama is the sharpest tack in the room. He is also surrounded by
brilliant minds. I'm a betting man and my bet is on him to get it
right. Let the fat man sing, he just strengthen Obama's position. I am
so confident that it will work that I'm retiring 12-31-09...........

81 and still active in business. I applaud you. We have to make a
distinction here. The US is not a democracy. It is a Republic. To
clarify:

A Democracy
The chief characteristic and distinguishing feature of a Democracy is:
Rule by Omnipotent Majority. In a Democracy, The Individual, and any
group of Individuals composing any Minority, have no protection
against the unlimited power of The Majority. It is a case of Majority-
over-Man.

A Republic
A Republic, on the other hand, has a very different purpose and an
entirely different form, or system, of government. Its purpose is to
control The Majority strictly, as well as all others among the people,
primarily to protect The Individual’s God-given, unalienable rights
and therefore for the protection of the rights of The Minority, of all
minorities, and the liberties of people in general. The definition of
a Republic is: a constitutionally limited government of the
representative type, created by a written Constitution--adopted by the

the financial crisis this will only come about with an infusion of
money, lots of it and through regulation, which was totally absent in
the previous administration.

I said I was going to retire. Yes, from teaching. However, my oldest
son wants to open a bar in Brooklyn. Now how's that for a recession
proof business. People drink when they're happy, more when they're
depressed. I'll let you know how I make out when I go to the bank in
the fall with my business proposal..

county my vote was not counted. Three deputies stopped me from attending
a civil meting,and this same sheriff Bob Hansel has threatened my life.

I'm afraid that BHO is getting snookered and/or stung by yet another
Ponzi fiasco. Think about it, and tell us what's the difference is
between Ponzi Madoff and that which BHO is doing with our hard earned
loot?

Are not the rich and powerful keeping the vast bulk of their loot, and
the rest of us are not?

I think the vast majority of those in financial default need to get
terminated, and as much as possible retroactively so. Honest mistakes
and extreme circumstances are entirely different than the kind of
spendy outcome we're looking at.

By way keeping all the local trouble makers out of civil meetings is
also how Hitler and GW Bush worked the odds to being in their favor.

What does it cost in Florida to flush a toilet (if that were the only
appliance and no other usage of their brackish water)?

Say 100 flushes per month (100200 gallons), cost how much?
