Default Phase Dispersion Minimization in PERANSO software

To: All

I'm new to using the Peranso software for determining the periods of
variable stars. I'm working my way through the manual and I have a
question concerning the Phase Dispersion Minimization (PDM)
technique. Several parameters are used when impleneting the
technique. I don't understand the nature of the parameter identified
as "Nc", the "covers" of the bins. (Page 137 of the Peranso 2.0
Manual).

I would greatly appreciate and explanation of the parameter "Nc".

Larry
