You see these kinda funny discussions all the time. I just wonder if
its really occuring?

How hard would it be to heavy lift basic necessities? possible other
space station?

It appears theres a small space orbiter launched from airliners?

Just fascinating that while NASA blows billions yearly a black program
may be way ahead and rolling on.

No chance. Think of the infrastructure needed to launch a Saturn-class
rocket. Now think of building it and using it repeatedly with NO ONE
noticing.

Ah, but they use flying saucers based on the one that crashed in
Roswell .

Just as a thought experiment, excluding the possibility of leaks,
spies, slip-ups, budget analysis etc, giving things away within a few
years -- then the US might orbit a small manned vehicle, possibly
stealthed, once in a while and get away with it. Things to remember
are that the US is the only country with significant space surveillance
capabilities against things in low-inclination LEO orbits (that we know
of) and that the US is the only country with close to a global 24-7
launch-detection capability. If a launch were to occur in the
equatorial South Pacific and place a signature-controlled vehicle into
a 15-degree, 400 km orbit, who would discover it?

So, theoretically, for the sake of a Gedankenexperiment, I think it
might be done, on a limited scale and with limited frequency.

But I can see absolutely no reason for the US to do such a thing, and I
don't believe for a minute that it has done it. (Although doubtless
scads of relevant design studies and maybe some R&D have been done.)

A very dubious leak of a program which never went operational, and probably
didn't even have a test launch.
