More like a very hot cloud of dust, carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms that
would be expanding very fast. Gradually it would cool down and probably a
fraction of the hydrogen and oxygen would recombine back to water molecules,
eventually cooling to ice particles. Probably, just my opinion though...
