Is the new particle discovery the end of the line for the Higgs/Supersymmetry/Superstrings,and the beginning for Technicolor?

In particle physics, the whole Superstring line of research would die.
In astrophysics, the search for WIMPs and Axxions would end, replaced by

I just wondered several times how many sigma above the noise
the probability is that this is just fabricated to keep that
hardware open.
It does come at a very convenient time.
Funding.
Maybe somebody said: "Let's go through all the old data we have
to see if anything is close to what could keep us in business."
The probability of that happening is, in my view, way higher than the one of finding
a new mysterious particle.
Would be nice if it was really something new and interesting though,
like cheap working fusion generators for in the car :-)
What good is YAOP (Yet An Other Particle).

Or if they found the Le Saga particle, now THAT would be fun.
There ARE some hints.

Well, we'll find out soon enough, as it's going to be LHC that confirms
it, not Fermilab. If they thought it could keep Fermilab open, it's not.
