lunar eclipse
good view of it in NYC.
from a web site: "During totality, when the Moon is completely immersed in shadow, it might turn red, the result of Earth's atmosphere bending hints of all the world's sunrises and sunsets simultaneously onto the Moon while the Sun's primary light is blocked." -huh!? this is mumbo jumbo. I dont understand what that means. |

I dont understand what that means. It's not really mumbo jumbo. Maybe poetic. The moon is enshrouded in the earth's shadow, but some light is bent around the earth and reflected on the moon, causing the red coloring, much as a sunset or sunrise does. BV. |
