Rosamond Report 6/4/06

Yesterday after making a run to Lancaster
and then tring to tie up my muffler I loaded
the old car up and by just after 5pm I was
setting up the scope. As this was the spring
car show and BBQ at forster, I was all set
for any troubles to come. And yes, Roger and
his wife where there and yes they saw me set
up, and wonders apon wonders, they did NOT
come over and say anything nor call the cops
or anything else. Which made it lots better.

I didn't count the heads, but I had older folks,
kids, teens all come over and have a look
at the moon, Saturn, and one or two of Jupiter,
but Jupiter I could not get a clear image of,
it is just two much glare, I may have to press
Babylon 8 back into service to give views of
Jupiter.

I talked to some of the people, one guy said
that at the poppy show there was someone there
with a scope set up as an ad for some club,
most likly the palmdale/lancaster one.

Mostly it was a good night, the band they had
playing there wasn't the normal one and to
say the played loud was/is the best I could say
about them.
