Missing threads
Is anyone else reading this group on NTLworld (or any other ISP) and
missing posts? Looking at Google Groups I see there are threads on "What does the sun sound like?" and "Any natural 400nm lasers in space?" that haven't shown up on my usual reader. (My first response to the second question would be "why do you ask ?", which no-one has asked yet :-) There's also one "There's also one "Earth w/o Magnetosphere, w/o Moon" that's almost entirely Brad Guth talking to himself, so I can safely ignore it. |

On or about 2006-09-20,
Jonathan Silverlight illuminated us with: Is anyone else reading this group on NTLworld Yup. (or any other ISP) and missing posts? Looking at Google Groups I see there are threads on "What does the sun sound like?" and "Any natural 400nm lasers in space?" that haven't shown up on my usual reader. (My first response to the second question would be "why do you ask ?", which no-one has asked yet :-) There's also one "There's also one "Earth w/o Magnetosphere, w/o Moon" that's almost entirely Brad Guth talking to himself, so I can safely ignore it. The lasers one seemed to originate on Google Groups with a lot of crossposting. Possibly Google or some intermediate news server decided that the thread was too much like news spam to propagate? I've not checked all the posts in all the missing threads of course. -- Mark Real email address | There comes a time when you should stop expecting other is mark at | people to make a big deal about your birthday. Then you're an even bigger damn fool on the naysay hill than even I'd thought possible. You and others of your kind know damn good and well why threads are missing or damaged. How about "Global Warmed to Death via moon"? - Brad Guth -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |
