TMB Monocentrical EP vs. TV Nagler Zoom

Thomas: A suggestion for whatever it is worth. Stay out of a mudslinging contest with Valery. He likes it and my guess is that you don't. Take the high road and Valery will hang himself. Best wishes jon Valery wrote: Jon, If you can easily note, Tom was first, who called my name. I didn't meant specially his SUPER monos. I just told, that cemented doublet will be the best for contarst vs ANY another eyepiece (theoretically). Valery: For what its worth: From my point of view, it does not matter who casts the first stone. One can either take the high road and stand above petty quibbling or one can take jump right in when one feels slighted. Parents know that when kids are fighting, their first excuse is, "He started it." But we all know that "it takes two to Tango" so it does not really matter who started it. So, either of you can take the High Road and everything will be better. Personally I hope you both do. You are both people with a great deal of skill and knowledge that add a great deal to this group, I just hope that you both can spend your valuable energies on something more constructive. jon |

Valery: For what its worth: Good advice CLIPPED For what it's worth, I'm a rank beginner in all this - and Valery's posts have always had fascinating optical truths if one is willing to attempt understanding. Second, I have nothing but admiration for someone posting in what I assume must be a third language (after Ukrainian and Russian) and doing as well as he does. Third - I agree - Valary does seem to enjoy tweeking noses; particularly when silly claims are made about apo-like performance in a cheap achro. I hope Valery keeps posting; I also hope I can afford a Chromacor and a Safix, and a set of TMB Monocentrics, and a slew of Naglers, and a AP 6in apo for a quicky scope and a 20in R-C for a photo scope; In the meantime I'll be entertained by knowledgeable people posting, even if they're caustic. |
