Anything to that newspaper story about ISS an accident waiting tohappen?
In today's Star Ledger (and likely many other papers) there was an
article about how ISS is "an accident waiting to happen". Because of poor communication between American and Russian engineers. |

On Wed, 24 Sep 2003 22:08:52 GMT, in a place far, far away, Robert
Casey made the phosphor on my monitor glow in such a way as to indicate that: In today's Star Ledger (and likely many other papers) there was an article about how ISS is "an accident waiting to happen". Because of poor communication between American and Russian engineers. I wouldn't be shocked. -- simberg.interglobal.org * 310 372-7963 (CA) 307 739-1296 (Jackson Hole) interglobal space lines * 307 733-1715 (Fax) http://www.interglobal.org "Extraordinary launch vehicles require extraordinary markets..." Seems like any outgoing remarks concerning ISS safety should be taken seriously. Hopefully, ISS program office doesn't consider itself insulated, as the NASA "culture" permeates its environs as well as the shuttle's. |

I would imagine that risks aboard space stations in general are much lower than aboard transport ships like Soyuz and Shuttle. Are we on the same planet? |

Yeah right, crashing a cargo ship into your station and causing an air leak ain't too bad. Having a fire aboard caused by an Oxygen generator isn't too bad. Having troubling powering up your escape craft during the above isn't too bad. Nearly locking yourself out of the airlock isn't too bad either. |
