NGC 7023 - Iris Nebula in Cepheus
Dear group,
I sat down last night to pursue an old flame, the Iris Nebula in Cepheus. It is a rather difficult target since one bright star is responsible for the (reflection) nebulosity in the immediate vicinity and which makes the processing interesting. To complicate matters, the area is generally devoid of stars which also makes guiding an entertaining exercise as well. Anyway, I hope you like the effort from last night taken under both variable seeing and transparency: http://www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-7023.htm .... I would like to revisit this target under better transparency and seeing. Anthony. |

Thanks for the wonderful photos. Very stunning! I really like the NGC
6995/IC 1340. I found one error on your page though, the link http://www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-7023b.htm is not linked correctly. Error 404: File Not Found Cheers! Stu. NGC 7023 - Iris Nebula in Cepheus
Stu,
Thanks for the kind words and oversight on my part surrounding the missing HTML file and the higher analysis version of the Iris Nebula. It has been fixed. Anthony.
