ASTRO: Lunar mosaic
Well, no lunar eclips images from me ... somehow all images on my camera are
all bad :-( But after the eclips I tried my Meade LPI again. After processing and stacking the images, I noticed that (by acident) I covered almost the whole moon. Took some work, but here is my first Lunar mosaic :-) It's build out of 9 images, each image around 50 frames stacked. Not perfect but I am satisfied with it :-) Bynostar 130-900 Newton, Meade LPI -- Menno ===================== My 3D Art can be seen on http://www.3dart4u.com http://tinyurl.com/c8g96 (3DCommune) http://brycetest.3dart4u.com (Bryce Speed Test) http://wallpaper.3dart4u.com (3D and other wallpapers) ===================== Remove nospam in mail address when mailing me |

I've tried a couple times to make mosaics but never could get the seams to come close to vanishing. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |

The software Autostar Suite that came with the LPI was by default set to Automatic settings, things were adjusted automaticly. But last night I did it manual (for practise) so each session I did was with exactly the same settings. So almost no seams. That's to show that (like so many other things) good things are discoverd by accident :-) Oh, and next time I'll rotate the moon the right way ;-) Menno |
