My Floaters Are Gone. Long Live My Floaters?
I have floaters and have had them for a few years now. Mine look like
multi-celled single-strand organisms and move in and out of my field of view. I can see them at high powers when using a telescope but not all the time. I did some research on the net an found this site: http://www.eyefloaters.com/index.cfm Apparently, The FDA considers the procedure a non-risk issue. Sounds great for those with the type(s) of floater(s) that can be
reduced/eliminated by the procedure, but results appear to be quite variable and procedure not applicable for many. Check out "Floater Types-Success" in the menu on the left side of the web page that you hyperlinked. Richard "Jose Suro" wrote in message om... I have floaters and have had them for a few years now. I didn't realize that the treatment prospects were different for different kinds of floaters. The only two treatments are frought with nasty risks. The specialist I saw doesn't think it's a good idea to change the eyeball fluid, or the explode the floaters with a laser. Fred |

Fred,
we've discussed this subject before...with an intent on astronomical reasons to remove floaters, but I believe our findings were in agreement with what you were told....that no surgeon would risk it by any current procedure. Guess its just something you live with. Clear Skies, Tom W. In most cases, C-4 has shown to be much more effective at exploding
floaters and clumps of floaters, than have lasers. "Fred Ma" wrote in message ... I used google. Can you post a reference? Thanks. Fred -- Fred Ma, Carleton University, Dept. of Electronics 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, Ontario Canada, K1S 5B6 |
