Default Moon landing for Starship

If landing/takeoff from moon share the same tanks, it will be
interesting to see the logic that will have to implement some "ethics":
do you spend whatever fuel that is needed to land safely even if it

There's a point where you do a go/no-go check.* I'm pretty sure that you
can find this in the Apollo transcripts (and video/audio where that's
available).* How close that is to landing depends on your ability to
abort a landing; Apollo would have had to abort with the Descent Stage
still attached, because AIUI you couldn't drop the descent stage very
quickly.

I would speculate that for Apollo there were both scenarios. Either full
thrust on decent stage to regain orbit for at least part of the journey
and perhaps upper stage to finish acceleration to orbit. It would depend
on how much fuel you have left in the decent stage. Near the surface I
would presume remaining fuel is so low that a jettison and light of
ascent engine was in the checklist.

Where is Henry Spencer when you need him? :-)
