Shingletown (USA) Star Party 2007

SSP 2007 - July 9-16, 2007 (yes, a full week! - come for a family
vacation - bring your RV if you like) featuring mag 7 skies, takes
place about 30 miles east of Redding, California. This is Northern
California's biggest and best star party. But the low advance
registration fee of $40 expires in less than 3 weeks, at midnight PDT
on April 30.

Worried about food? Don't - we offer a meals-on-wheels service that
delivers takeout from local restaurants to you. Afraid to be without
your email and internet links? - Don't be, we offer onsite wifi. No
wifi? You can use computers housed in a trailer. Yes, you can bring
your RV. Imagers should know that there are quiet generators dedicated
to supplying power for you at night. Oh, yes, there are free showers,
a coffee service, a swap meet if you have astro items to sell, and
yes, door prizes. (See our vendor pages for a _very_ partial list of
participating vendors.) Yes, vendors will also be there for you to
consult with, borrow equipment to try out, and buy what you like.

All this at an altitude of 4,000 feet, with a beautiful view of fabled
Mt. Lassen, an explorer's volcanic paradise. Come for a week, spend
the daytime enjoying the natural wonders of the area and the nights
beneath the majestic clear, dark skies with your favorite
telescope. Leave it set up all week in the secure SSP environment.
