Where's Shawn Grant when you need him? No doubt LdB will think it's amazing.

I guess the people who made and sold this feel that if you own an iPhone, that's
proof you have more money than sense.

It would be interesting to design something similar that works.

My tabletop Dob gives a much better view of the Moon, and everything else, for a small fraction of the price of that little "telescope." Of course, one has to look through an eyepiece to get those views, which is against LsD's religion.

Piece of overpriced CRAP for cellphone addicts and losers. Goes well with those ridiculous "smart" watches.

Don't you own a smartphone? Move into the 21st century.

I have one. I don't spend my life on it and it isn't glued to my hand like some.

To be fair he did specify "addicts," the ones who stand in line to buy the very latest version of the iPhone on its release date, the ones who walk down the street talking/texting and not watching where they are going, who sit together in groups texting each other, who try to drive and text simultaneously, etc.

Of course, one doesn't need a smart phone to send/read texts. However, flip phones are so "early 2007."

At that price, one would be far better off with a used DSLR equipped with a decent lens.

Six years ago one could get a 50mm Galileoscope for $15 - double the aperture for 1/23 the price. *That* was a good deal!

Sketcher,
To sketch is to see.
