Default A-OK, Wings of Mercury out

Well, it's finally available for Windows
http://pyramiddesign.us/
I haven't had a chance to play it yet (other than a "chimp-mode" MR-flight),
but it looks pretty good. It compares favorably to the Mercury add-on to
Orbiter, with the advantage of an interactive AI CAPCOM, and an ability to
explore failure modes.

I'll post an AAR after I've had a chance to fly a full mission.

Hooray for the Windows version! It's been out for a few months; most of the
major bugs are ironed out though several minor issues remain. New version
3.7 was just posted in the last day or two. The full version costs about
$50, and well worth it to this "space geek". From what I understand, they
are aiming for a finished retail product within the next few months.

The trial version that you can download from
http://www.aokwom.com/download.html allows suborbital missions only. The
full version allows orbital missions (which are naturally a lot more fun),
but the trial version at least gives you a peek. Beware, the download is
about 61 MB; if you have a dial up connection, this will take quite a while.

While I can't compare it to Orbiter, I enjoy it greatly and find it worth
the price now that most of the bugs are gone. Great visuals too. Heartily
recommended!

Glad to hear people are going for this. Course, you're only doing what
monkeies have done...
