No tidal-lock. Virtually everywhere states, Venus' orbital period as 225. 224.7 days to be more precise. Google search on "Venus orbital period" and the first thing you get is: Venus - Orbital Period: 224.7 Days According to http://sciencepark.etacude.com/astronomy/venus.php - More sources » : Where can I obtain a similar copy of your Naysay-Physics and : Infomercial-Science publications? Brad, I can't even find one instance where it states Venus is tidally locked with the sun. Do the damn search and see yourself where EVERYWHERE it states that Venus' orbital period in 224.7 (225) days. Prior to radio observations in 1961, the rotation of Venus had not been measured, and it was often believed to be tidally locked. I've seen some old textbooks that state that it is (was) thought to be tidally locked. |
