Perseids - no meteors yet, how about you?

Not great here in Maryland. I began capturing at 0200 EDT with a
Starlight Xpress Oculus All-Sky Camera (45-second exposures) and with a
GoPro Hero4 Black. I haven't seen any of the GoPro images yet, as the
GoPro was independent of the MacBook Pro and images weren't being
uploaded.

The clouds began rolling in at about 0310 EDT (of course), but I
managed to get a very bright Perseid at 0326 EDT.

I know that I captured a few dimmer meteors, nothing to crow about. A
friend in Wokingham, UK, west of London said he saw six or eight in a
30-minute period.

According to my math and my luck, two cameras doubles the chance for
failure. Oculus: possibility of AC power failure, software malfunction.
GoPro: possibility that all three batteries will go dead halfway
through the series. Experience has made me a pessimist.

I saw 15 - 18 in an hour in a 4th magnitude sky with variable cloud. I had
planned to observe from my yard which is walled in brick but by next door
but builders working on my next door neighbour's house had left the outside
lights on when they finished work for the day and the house was empty. I
had to go to my allotment for a reasonable sky. There were 6 better than
mag 0 including two with red trails. No trains.

At first, it was too cloudy. But it cleared up to a haze, and I could
see some just before midnight. But it was damn cold! Curse this
global warming. I've never seen a summer this cold.
