Default Sam Wormley is Wrong (was: WHAT'S NEW...)

Sam Wormley quoted:

1. VISION: WHERE DOES THE ADMINISTRATION GET ITS SCIENCE ADVICE?

How wrong can you be? The Administration doesn't need "science advice;"
everything it needs to know is in the Holy Bible.

The quote goes on to talk about the Hubble. The Hubble is an Instrument
of Evil, fundamentally flawed, and should never have been launched.
While it's true that an inanimate device cannot by itself be right or
wrong, I apply these terms to the Hubble as a matter of literary
convenience.

- The Hubble is wrong about the age of the Universe. The Deep Field and
Ultra Deep Field images depict objects that God made 6,000 years ago.
They are therefore within 6,000 LY of Earth, not at so-called
cosmological distances of billions of light years.

- The Hubble's very orbit is a sham. It was computed using so-called
Newtonian physics, which is proven to be wrong because it can't explain
the sun standing still (Joshua 10:1-15). To make matters worse, those
computations make use of an invalid figure for the value of Pi. Pi=3,
as correctly revealed in 1 Kings 7:23. If the Hubble exists and orbits
the earth as the godless ones proclaim, its orbit is the work of Satan.

The same law that applies to the Holy Bible also applies to science:
either every word is literally correct, or none of it is correct. We
know that the Holy Bible is correct because it was written by God
Himself. The inescapable conclusion is that science is a tool of
liberal Jesus haters. Science is wrong. If they want to send a
servicing mission to Hubble let it be for the purpose of attaching a
label: "Warning: the data provided by this instrument has been proven
to lead liberal Jesus haters to make false deductions about God's
Creation. Data from this instrument should be discarded in all cases
where it conflicts with the Revealed Truth of the Holy Bible."

The quote concludes with
THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND.
Opinions are the author's and not necessarily shared by the
University of Maryland, but they should be.

Oh, they are. The University of Maryland is located in College Park,
and it's not a coincidence that the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is
a short distance away. Both are filthy dens of God-hating liberals.
It's worth noting that UM also has a campus in Baltimore, home of the
lie-spewing, Jesus-hating Space Telescope "Science" Institute.

Religion and science are orthogonal (they have nothing to do with
each other).

I can't believe I am being suckered into this but I have to respond. I have
been embattled lately with the question of the age of the universe etc and
how current estimates of its age conflict with what many Christians believe
it to be based on biblical teachings. I will state very quickly my
thoughts and will welcome *emails* in response.

1. Man has existed for about 6,000 years which is in keeping with biblical
word and is widely accepted as truth by many Christians.
2. The actual age of the universe is more in line with what science tells
us right now.
3. I believe this because the bible does *not* elaborate on the length of a
day in Genesis and I believe that a "day" as used in the account of the
creation is actually representative of an "era". These six so-called days
were actually segments of time numbering billions of years.

And that's all I'm gonna say about that here.

Do you feel better now? If not, maybe a big bowl of shredded wheat will
help with your problem.

It isn't. Oh, I authored it, but I would never have guessed that anyone
in this forum would take it seriously. Talk about acceptance on blind
faith!

How do these folks handle the spoken language, which has no smileys? If
someone says "It's raining cats and dogs," do they go outside to check
and then report "No, that's water?"

Well, we've been building civilizations for about that long. But in
essentially our current form we've certainly been around for tens of
thousands of years, if not longer.

Chris,

Homo Sapien Sapiens (that's us) evolved about 100,000 years ago, during
but nearer the end of the great Ice age. And you're correct-
civilization by most definitions is about 6,000 years old. Physical
anthropology is a fascinating subject, no?

Starry Skies,
Rich
