Default Celestron Powerstar III DEC drive question - PLS

I have a vintage 1988 Powerstar III and the DEC motor is broke way
bad. This is the motor with the 5 pin round DIN connector to the EQ
handset and scope mount.

JMI said that there were only about 40 of these made (lucky me i
guess) so there is a lack of replacement parts.

Has anyone out there had to deal with this? Is there a replacement
drive that mounts on the fork for DEC?

Has anyone found a suitable replacement mount to salvage the scope if
there is indeed no way to replace the drive motor?

Some experienced help would be most appreciated.

Thanks
