Default "Four Observatories" - excursion to England and Ireland for the WhirlpoolStar Party

Maybe slightly off-topic. There's very little astronomy here!
Nevertheless ...

A week ago Jane and I returned from visiting England and Ireland. We
were guests of the Whirlpool Star Party at Birr, Ireland, where we both
gave talks, and even spent a night with Sir Patrick Moore of the BBC's
"Sky at Night" program.
