NASA ANNOUNCES SPACE STATION YEAR-END NEWS CONFERENCE

Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer
Salizhan Sharipov host a news conference from the
International Space Station on Wednesday, Dec. 29, live on
NASA TV, starting at 11:45 a.m. EST. Reporters may ask
questions from participating NASA centers.

Chiao and Sharipov will have been unloading a shipment of
supplies from a Russian Progress cargo spacecraft, scheduled
to arrive Christmas Day. They have been on board the Station
since mid-October conducting science experiments and
maintaining operating systems. They will soon be preparing
for spacewalks scheduled in January and March.

NASA TV is available via the Web and satellite in the
continental U.S. on AMC-6, Transponder 9C, C-Band, at 72
degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz.
Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz.
In Alaska and Hawaii, NASA TV is available on AMC-7,
Transponder 18C, C-Band, at 137 degrees west longitude. The
frequency is 4060.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio
is monaural at 6.80 MHz. The news conference will be
telestreamed live on the Internet at:
