Default Micro gravity and long duration flights.

I was wondering while reading about the latest research proposed into health
of space flyers, if there is a continual change in the human body, or
whether most of the changes occur within the first three months or so, and
no more degradation occurs after that.
If this is not the case then it seems odd, as normally one would expect an
adaptation to a steady state environment to eventually be completed.

My understanding is it's both. Some of the changes happen rather quickly
(distribution of fluids, etc.) Others continue the entire time in orbit
(bone loss).

It's the bone loss that is of course a major issue.
