And the thing was...in Stalinist Russia you'd die as the result of some

Himmler's comment about the Poles...that they were a very strong Aryan
blood-group that needed to be brought into the Reich or else completely
exterminated due to the future threat that they might pose to Germany by
their superior blood is fascinating, to say the least.
I've been studying those loons for forty years, ands still can't figure
out where they were coming from.

And they deliberately singled out for extermination the Jews, a
peaceful, inoffensive minority group that had made immense contributions
to culture and science.


Well, that "peaceful" aspect mutated a bit about the time the Neocons
hit; in fact, the concept of establishing Israeli settlements in
Palestinian territory has "Lebensraum" written all over it.
What's really disturbing about this is the concept that the Israeli tail
wags the US dog...it's more like the right-wing Jews in the US wag the
Israeli tail, and Israel had better do damn well what they want unless
it wants its US funding to dry up.
Mind you, the boys over at the National Review, The Weekly Standard, and
Little Green Footballs aren't going to have to live in Israel with the
end results of what their ideas mean for it, but they know what's best
for it nonetheless.
They're going to save the place...even if it means getting everyone in
it killed in the process.
It's fascinating to consider that during the 1960's a lot of the strange
and radical liberal ideas that nearly destroyed the Democratic Party
emanated from the Jewish intellectuals of New York City... and during
the 1990's a lot of the strange and radical conservative ideas that have
today pretty much destroyed the Republican Party have again emanated
from the Jewish intellectuals of New York City.
Frankly, the place is way too insular and disconnected...from not only
the rest of the US, but the whole world as well.
Like Swift's Laputa, it just floats around at random while its
intellectuals think deep and profound thoughts.
Although one can also see a revolt of the children against the political
ideals of their parents - where a generation of organized Marxists gives
birth to a generation of organized Neocons... and everyone else just
wishes they'd both just mellow out a bit, both head for the middle
ground, and both shut the Hell up. :-)

Umm... let's at least acknowledge that this capability was shared, who
had (and used) it first, and who initiated the majority of the
"advances" in warhead design and delivery systems.

It's neither "moral equivalence" nor exculpation of Communism or
Stalin to accept that our version ("We have them only for deterrence,
but haven't gotten around to pledging no first use") didn't play as
well to others as it did at home.
