Wireless in Space
I see from a recent announcement (on sci.space.news) that TransOrbital
intends using wireless communications aboard its Trailblazer spacecraft. For example, between the cameras ("tethered on the outside of the spacecraft") and its other systems. Has wireless been much used on spacecraft before? -- Stephen Souter http://www.edfac.usyd.edu.au/staff/souters/ |

In general, it's simple enough just to run wires -- you're going to have to do that for power anyway -- unless the spacecraft is something really unusual. -- MOST launched 1015 EDT 30 June, separated 1046, | Henry Spencer first ground-station pass 1651, all nominal! | |
