On or about Tue, 26 Aug 2003 08:48:41 +0000, Chuck Stewart
made the sensational claim that:
Er... it's a news piece about the imminent release of the CAIB
report... No big deal, nothing new discussed.

Stupid question: Does Vol. 1 imply Vol 2?

Yup. CAIB indicates they will release more over the next several weeks
according to the press release accompanying the release of Volume 1 at:

http://www.caib.us/news/press_releases/pr030826.html

An excerpt of the above URL:

: Over the next several weeks, the Board expects to publish several
: additional volumes containing technical documents cited in the report or
: referenced as part of the investigation, as well as transcripts of the
: board's public hearings.

I was just wondering that...

(perhaps they intend to release volume 2 as extra appendices of data not
currently available?)

From the Volume I TOC:

VOLUME II Appendix D CAIB Technical Documents Cited in the Report
VOLUME III Appendix E Other Technical Documents Cited in the Report
VOLUME IV Appendix F Other Technical Documents
VOLUME V Appendix G Other Significant Documents
VOLUME VI Appendix H Transcripts of Board Public Hearings

Well, right now there are two versions, the "lowres" and "medium res"
versions. I expect there is a high-res version as well, but it might
not be made available for download.
