NASA UPDATES INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION ACTIVITIES

NASA International Space Station officials will conduct
a mission status briefing Friday at 3 p.m. EST. The briefing
is at the Johnson Space Center, Houston.

NASA will provide updates on work being done in orbit by
Expedition 8 Commander Mike Foale and Flight Engineer
Alexander Kaleri. The briefing will be carried live on NASA
Television with question-and-answer capability at
participating NASA centers.

Briefing Participants:
- William Gerstenmaier, International Space Station
Program Manager
- Joel Montalbano, Expedition 8 Lead Flight Director
- Janice Voss, Expedition 8 Lead Increment Scientist

NASA Television is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-
Band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is
3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural
at 6.80 MHz. Briefing audio is available on voice circuit by
calling: 321/867-1220/1240/1260.

They've missed an opportunity to include someone from the NASA
Engineering and Safety Center to discuss the progress of their
"independent assessment and analysis" of the mysterious crunching noises.
Since they say they "will be proactive in looking for the next problem or
issue", I hope and assume they're hard at work on the problem.
