Default Stuff that the Kepler telescope has discovered besides planets

Looks like Kepler is proving to be an amazing instrument for discovering
other things besides just planets. It's found stars that were previously
thought to be single stars were really binaries or trinaries. It's found
some stars brightening due to starquakes, etc.

They also mentioned that there is a successor to Kepler planned by the
ESA, called Plato, which should be even more capable.
