Jupiter rotation
With the belief that many but not all readers can raise the standard
of discussion by way of being more adaptive, being more of an innovator than a spectator or a mouthpiece for the toxic strain of empiricism, there is nothing more productive or accessible than the links between planetary dynamics and evolutionary geology. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUhEh...eature=related There are no laws here, just an observation that all rotating celestial objects with viscous compositions display differential rotation and, depending on composition, viscosity of maximum equatorial speed, will produce a spherical deviation between polar and equatorial diameters. There is no reason to believe that beneath the fairly thing fractured crust of the Earth, the viscous composition is subject to the same fluid dynamic principles which dominate all celestial objects and while there are both minor and major adjustments the guiding concept,at least in respect to the Earth,is the common mechanism which links planetary shape with crustal evolution and motion. In short, while differential rotation in itself and how it relates to spherical deviation may generate interesting perspectives,it becomes far more enjoyable when overlaid on evolutionary geology and especially those large scale features such as the Mid Atlantic Ridge which mesh with the internal rotational mechanism. Before Newton's toxic strain of empiricism it was possible to discuss the links of planetary dynamics with terrestrial effects and experiences such as the cause of tidal variations and while many readers would be surprised to see related topics being discussed 20 years before they started to attribute everything to Newton/ Principia, this is stated only for those who can see that students and the wider population are being let down for the ephemeral novelties which circulates among Newton's followers . http://books.google.com/books?id=RyB...ge&q&f=fals e Of course, the first issue for discussing a rotating Earth, spherical deviation organized around the Earth's rotational characteristics and outriggers such as geological features as a consequence of geodynamics relies on the known speed of the surface crust which turns 1037.5 miles per hour and a full 24 901 mile circumference in 24 hours. at the Equator.Unfortunately, for social reasons related to Ra/Dec observing, this basic astronomical and terrestrial facts does not survive in the suffocating atmosphere of contemporary empirical novelties. |
