Maybe to YOU.

One of the most dangerous things the human race has ever faced, and one
which has the potential to destroy our current civilization.

Perhaps you haven't noticed but the US has reduced coal energy by 40%
over the past decade, solar is projected to increase by 30% over the next
TWO years and China is building two wind turbines per hour (half of the
world's production). At 4 per hour worldwide, that's 8000 per year
assuming a 2000 hour work year. At 1.5 MW/turbine and 6 hours/day, that
adds 3 GWHrs to energy production every year.

Things aren't so bad. Renewable is small but it's growing rapidly.

Gary, Do you think that the increase in solar and wind is a good thing? Why
do you think that if you deny the effects of rising CO2.

(1) I have an EE background and I like electrical things.

(2) I once attended a talk by Arthur C. Clarke wherein he said we should
stop burning petroleum and start eating it. I thought the latter was a
really stupid idea because eating a nonrenewable resource is a recipe for
disaster. Actually, we ARE "eating" petroleum (and natural gas) because
we use it for making fertilizer. But at least it will last a lot longer
than gobbling it up by burning it.

(3) I believe in conserving natural resources.

By never utilizing them?
The human race is an underused and badly abused resource.
We "burn" them at our own peril.
