You mean like the money that's given to Boeing, Lockheed etc? You have a point here. Boing, Lockheed, should build planes, not rockets. Since the government is the only cuomer for rockets it would make sense if the government built those. You must stop at a certain point though. Rockets need computers, should the govt build those also? What about food that the astronauts need in their trips? They would probably get tired of Senate Bean Soup day in and day out. -- "Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell." -- Ed Abbey |

Rohrabacher calls for emergency commercial funding
once social seurity and medicare cuts begin voters will demand zero
budget numbers for most non essential projects........ And yet that has never happened in the past when retirement ages were raised and taxes were increased.... medicare has never been disassembled, as the tea party wants. nor has SS age been raised 10 years for anyone not currently collecting. whats coming isnt minor tweaks its major restructuring ......... the voters wouldnt be happy |

Disassemble medicare as we know it..... raise age to collect SS for anyone not currently collecting. for those in their 20s it would be 10 years longer, since life expectancy has gone up..... elminate the minimum wage completely, since business would create more jobs if the cost were cheaper, no increases at all for taxes on the super wealthy making over 250 grand a year. theres more this all from face the nation a few weeks ago....... the tea party/ republicans can gridlock congress, preventing any legislation from passing. republicans the party of the superr wealthy who would rather play politics than actually work......... |

Uncited bull****. Show me where she actually said this. Mrs Bachmann and Medica ------------------------- http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2...d-medicare.php quote Bachmann spoke this past weekend at the right-wing Constitutional Coalition in St. Louis, Missouri, and put forth her plan. "So, what you have to do, is keep faith with the people that are already in the system, that don't have any other options, we have to keep faith with them. But basically what we have to do is wean everybody else off," said Bachmann. "And wean everybody off because we have to take those unfunded net liabilities off our bank sheet, we can't do it. So we just have to be straight with people. So basically, whoever our nominee is, is going to have to have a Glenn Beck chalkboard and explain to everybody this is the way it is." end quote Mrs Bachman and retirement age: ------------------------------ http://thinkprogress.org/health/2011...be-in-the-mix/ quote Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly pressured GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann on how she would lower health care spending during an interview last night and ultimately forced her to admit that she would likely support raising the Medicare eligibility age. end quote You can look at the interview at that URL if you do not believe the quote. Mrs Bachman and the minimum wage: -------------------------------- http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/elimi...ry?id=13951494 quote In an interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday, the Minnesota congresswoman did not back away from her previous stance to eliminate minimum wage in order to "virtually wipe out unemployment." "I think we need to look at all regulations, whatever--whatever ones are inhibiting job growth," she said. When asked if the minimum wage is one of those issues, Bachmann again just responded, "All regulations." end quote Mrs Bachman and taxes paid by rich people: ------------------------------------------ http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...bachmann+moore quote "For one, I believe my policies prior to '08 would have been much different from [President Bush's]. I wouldn't have spent so much money," she says, pointing in particular at the Department of Education and the Medicare prescription drug bill. "I would have advocated for greater reductions in the corporate tax rate and reductions in the capital gains rate—even more so than what the president did." Mr. Bush cut the capital gains rate to 15% from 20% in 2003. end quote Mrs Bachman and space exploration --------------------------------- It is very difficult to find anything that Mrs Bachman said about NASA or space exploration in the web. The only thing more or less relevant is this: quote Republican presidential candidates agree: No more federal money for human space flight The Republican presidential field sent a clear message to NASA workers in Texas and Florida: They don’t see a federal role in funding human space flight. The unanimous verdict came during a New Hampshire presidential debate tonight and following a scathing assessment of NASA management by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga. Debate moderator John King of CNN asked the other six candidates in attendance — including Texas Rep. Ron Paul — whether they would continue federal funding for human space flight. Not a single candidate — Paul, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and former Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain — raised their hand. end quote ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I think that Mr Haller is right, Mr McCall. But surely I could have done a mistake and you will show us where Mrs Bachman advocates a minimum wage, engages to continue Medicare, says she will increase taxes for rich people or her fight for space exploration. Please enlighten us. |
