Default Telescope Help

Looking at the postings, I'm not so sure I'll receive an appropriate
response.

Anyway I have a Celestron 8" SGT I need help with. It comes with the
handheld finder, exact model number not immediately at hand.

Anyway I'm looking for someone in the Kansas City area (South) that might be
able to help me with some hands on setting up. I've had this scope for
three or four years now and haven't been able to figure out the set up
procedures. My grandkids would love to use it.

If you feel you can help me, please send me an email at

Thanks.

Hi Rich. Have you tried the newsgroup sci.astro.amateur? There are
probably still some amateur astronomers there who can be of help to
you.
