I'm a great believer in the peer/jury system. It screws up on
occasion, but when its verdict is countered by vehement claims of

He can't see your posts unless someone else quotes you. He has
effectively wiped you out of his existence. As far as Herb is
concerned, you exist only in the spirit world; you can see what he is
doing, but you can affect him in no way, whatsoever. Call him all the
names you want, he can't hear you.

As for your claims, this is a sci.* (as in "science") group. While
most of us aren't actually scientists, we appreciate the scientific
method and know how to examine the evidence. We also know how to
evaluate the claimant.

Personally, I've sat on juries, and have learned how to evaluate an
attorney's performance. Your opening statement, counselor, has gone a
long way toward alienating the jury. Is this a mistake on your part,
or is it a gambit whose purpose is as yet hidden from us?

BTW, "Plonknose"? Did you display an equally happy skill in the
thrust, parry and riposte of legal debate?
