Apollo 12 at 35...
....I'm ashamed to say that we Space Historians totally missed this
one, it seems. I'll take the blame for this one if Beady will take the blame for missing the anniversary of Roy Flemming's flight. Harald - Thanks for the web link. I received a signed print of Al's Space Center Houston Mural, "America's Team...Just the Beginning", when he attended the Greenwich Workshop opening a couple of years ago. http://www.alanbeangallery.com/justbeginning-story.html http://www.greenwichworkshop.com/stu...asp?artistid=5 http://www.greenwichworkshop.com/search/default.asp Greg |

I suspect that that minor technological glitch of the TV camera getting burned out by the Sun, while not a big deal for the safety of the crew and science work, was a bad thing for maintaining public interest in the Moon missions. People like to see live TV of news events in progress, and if no video, people lose interest. |
