Default Yuri's Night 2007

Dear space advocate...

"Let's go!"

These were the words spoken by Russian Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin as he
embarked
on the historic first manned space flight on 12 April 1961. Twenty
years later
on 12 April 1981, the US launched the first space shuttle flight. We
think
that's something worth celebrating - so we do!

Every year on April 12th, Yuri's Night is celebrated all around the
world -
last year there were over 90 events or parties held in over 30
countries
worldwide - even in Antarctica! And 2007 looks set to be even bigger.

The range of events is as diverse as the people who hold them - even
the
residents of the International Space Station have been known to join
in the
fun! Whether in someone's living room, a swinging nightclub or a world-
class
science museum, Yuri's Night events all have one thing in common -
people who
are excited about space exploration and who want to join together to
celebrate it.

So please support us in getting the word out about this unique event
that straddles
borders, generations, lifestyles, and even musical tastes... We also
invite you
to join us in rocking the planet in 2007 by either organizing your own
Yuri's Night
event or supporting a local one.

Find an event, or register your own on our website http://
www.yurisnight.net --
Come be a part of this major planetary event -and let's make 2007 the
biggest
Yuri's Night celebration ever!

Please reply with any questions or comments. We'll be glad to respond!

Sincerely,
Hal Fulton

Yuri's Night Community Relations Committee

Not that I know of Pat, but I could invite the Missionaries if you'd
like. I could bring that Book of Mormon though.

....Sorry, the closest I get to Mormonism is watching episodes of Glen
Larson's original "Battlestar Ponderosa".

....This year, probably. I didn't make it to last year's in Houstopolis
due to some stomach problems - more of that post-gall bladder
complication - and missed meeting Xeni of Boing Boing, which was the
*REAL* ****er. For a probable comm-symp, she's probably one of the
sexiest bloggers out there, and very reminiscent of Madonna before age
and success ruined her looks.

OM, she's scary looking:

She's scarier looking than Jane Siberry, and that's saying a lot:

You need a decent down-to-earth woman, not some strange-haired whacko:

Combine that with metformin and greasy food and you become an Olympic track
contender :P
