in the 1930's because not enough people cared. I care about
Canada's federal police breaking the law. I have a lot of
personal, direct knowledge of that. But let's take a bigger
example.

The RCMP covered up a probable case of mass murder when Swissair
Flight 111 went down, in 1998, off Nova Scotia. That crashed
killed all 229 passengers and crew. Official finding by the
Canadian Transportation Safety Board was "accident". But that
was probably, actually, a case of *arson*, not "accident". And
half a billion dollars ($500 million) in diamonds and
other precious gems disappeared. They were never found despite
the fact that the water depth there was only about 70 meters -
200 feet - and fully 98% of the aircraft was recovered.

Did the RCMP care, there was evidence of *arson*? No, like you,
they didn't. They never even investigated. They actually
*prevented* that experienced arson investigator from pursuing it.
He wanted to pursue it. But he was forced to leave the RCMP,
because he refused to cook his notes, to leave out his findings.
There is documented evidence: he was ordered to *lie* about what
he'd found. And that is obstructing justice. But there's a lot
more dirt under their carpet.

Now you can go back to sleep, or back to your telescope. I hope

Presumption is the mother of all screw-ups. I have never known
anyone who presumed, who got anything right. You know, this
stupid condescension many people bring to usenet, it just makes

My reasons for posting the three images are given, in a previous
reply to a comment. It explains some. Sorry for disrupting
things, everyone. I'm not one of those frightful trolls. In
fact...I feel contempt for those sub-humanoids. I think the
issue is big enough that everyone - even you amazing telescope
jockeys (and note: I'm a fan of astronomy too, so that's not a
put-down, I've seen some great photos some of you have done) -
should know about how *rotten* Canada's federal police force is.
Just in case y'all happen to visit Canada. I'm really doing you
guys a favor, with this head's up. So be appreciative, why not.

To all those of you who don't ca keep your eye on the sky.
And make sure to dress warm at night; it's getting colder out.

And don't smoke too much weed, because that may make you see
things in the sky that are *not* actually there. I think that is
a legitimate concern, because some of you are seeing things here
that don't exist. Just products of your imagination.
So...moderate use only, everyone. Remember "Reefer Madness". We
don't want our astronomy community getting all THC-psychotic, or
the formerly orderly Heavens may *stop* being so orderly.

Star maps...they just wouldn't make any sense to you then, if
you have too much buzz on. All toked up...find Venus or Sirius?

out what happened, what caused the destruction of the spacecraft.
One was O-rings, one was foam. That involved only a *few*
deaths, too. Swissair Flight 111 involved the death of 229
people - quite possibly *murdered* - and if it was arson, sadly
nobody has a clue who did it, because that line of inquiry was
never pursued. I know that doesn't bother you, I can tell. You
don't care. What does that say about your morality, I wonder.
