You are a liar. They do. It's pointless discussing it with you if you're going to lie so baldly. It is more often than not 5 to 7 degrees warmer in the city than it is at my house, especially at late night and early morning. Not getting the radiation and evaporative cooling and the lower low reading will skew the data set to the warm side, without any warmer daytime readings. But the UHI effect is greatest on sunny days, rain or even clouds can cancel it out. |

At this point the models are excellent, what is the primary source of uncertainty is the extent of the Stupidity of the AmeriKKKan people and their leadership. Which model parameter would that be? I take it stupidity is not believing as you believe. Cheers, Rich |

"Whata Fool" wrote Actually, the Third Reich was almost what your utopia should be like, for a period of time (prior to 1942), the majority of the people were solidly behind their "leader", the huge crowds were emotionally involved (whether it was propaganda or brainwashing that caused it is not important). ExterminateAllRepubliKKKans wrote: Sounds like a Libertairan paradise to me. "Talk-n-Dog" wrote Do everyone a favor and look up Libertarian and Liberal, then try again. I just did, and confirmed that the Third Reich was indeed a Libertarian Paradise. |

"Whata Fool" wrote Don't you know what a "model" is? In theoretical physics, a model is a self consistant collection of theories and imperical observations that taken together comprise a method of predicting the evolution - usually the time evolution - of a physical system. The standard model of Quantum Chromodynamics has yet to be found to be in error, and can used to compute the outcome of various physical systems to many orders of magnitude. In the other sciences models are less strictly defined, but in general refer to a method of predicting the outome of an experiment who's solution can not be expressed by a simple equation or small set of equations. Generally the solution requires multidimentional integrateion over many nonlinearly related multidimentional manifolds. Such systems are generally solved through numerical integration on high speed computer systems. |

"Whata Fool" wrote Combo power plants, salt factories and desalination plants are technologically possible. Absolutely. But then again, all New Orleans needed were some pumps that worked and some leveys that were a fortified. Unfortunately George Bush's brother sold the city pumps that were broken and George Bush slashed funding for maintainence of the levey system. "Whata Fool" wrote Since many countries in Europe have controlled sections of Africa in the past for various reasons, maybe Europe should take on the task of at least bringing Africa up to second world status. I agree. But we will have to rid the U.N. of the U.S. veto which has stood in the way of so much progress over the last 50 years. Get the U.N. out of the U.S. and the U.S. out of existance. |
