Weather forecasters agree with you but their estimated cone of impact does not include New Orleans or Mississippi. We well know that hurricanes don't obey weather forecasters, they tend to have a mind of their own. Your prediction of possibility of altered trajectory is well based, and presently the keys and most areas south/north Florida are expected to get hit.
