Except that the people who live there probably can't afford telescopes.

You are talking about the country where even the fat and fabulously wealthy head of state still cannot afford all six strings for his guitar.
Where the fat and fabulously wealthy head of state eats teenage girls for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Simply because there is nothing else available except Pootin's private caviar shipments.
Where the population has lost two inches in stature, through starvation and lifelong hardship.
So that they can no longer reach the eyepiece of a South Korean telescope.
Where cannibalism is so rife that the average IQ has dropped to single figures. So that they actually believe in their ****witted, genocidal dictator.

And even if they could afford them, would they be allowed to have
telescopes?

Yes, so they can watch American bombers fly over them!

Over there they play the flute!

Where the fat and fabulously wealthy head of state eats teenage girls for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You like that eh, pervert?

Simply because there is nothing else available except Pootin's private caviar shipments.

There's an embargo on caviars and Cuban cigars on N-Korea!
All gets shipped to Trump and his ex-prostitute wife Melanie!

Where the population has lost two inches in stature, through starvation and lifelong hardship.
So that they can no longer reach the eyepiece of a South Korean telescope.

That's why high hills are popular in N-Korea, but not higher than Kim's! Can't you see?

Where cannibalism is so rife that the average IQ has dropped to single figures. So that they actually believe in their ****witted, genocidal dictator.

Than how can they build rockets and H-bombs?
Buy it from Japan?
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto ..... Domo, Domo, Domo....

Oh, indeed, quite right. Of course, no doubt they have access to optical
equipment, such as binoculars, during their six years of compulsory military
service, but they probably can only use them for official purposes.

Doubtless, North Korea's military shares one characteristic with that of Soviet
Russia. Thus, while there are some factors that mitigate against this, like the
giant artillery pieces pointed at Seoul, that South Korea could overrun North
Korea in a blitzkrieg attack if it could manage to move fast enough to secure
control over the country... before the trusted secret police aides to each
military unit unlocked the safes where the ammunition is kept (mustn't have the
soldiers overthrowing the government, after all)... while unlikely, would be a
delightful possibility.

Just make sure your scope has a long battery life or a solar charger.

Of course, drive over some nasty land mines, incl. nuclear, blow half of S-Korea army to pieces!
